‘My Face is in Space’ is director Tom Jobbins’ new animation film. Together with cinematographer Matthias Pilz, Jobbins creates a unique piece of mixed-media animation using collages, paper craft, vintage film, stop-motion and photography. The 10-minute short has been celebrated across various festivals, including Angers Premier Plan and London Film Festival and is a true never-seen-before.
Here goes the storyline: ‘In 1977 NASA sent a Golden Record into space. It encapsulated the greatest achievements of humanity, and included photographs of its species. One of these photos is of Larry, he hopes this will propel him to the status of Earth Ambassador. This is Larry’s intergalactic story of life and love.’ Enjoy!
