Directed by American actress and fashion designer Tara Subkoff, the seven-minute short fim Magic Hour is about isolation versus intimacy and revolves around a character called Grey (Chloe Sevigny) who longs for her life in New York after moving out to Los Angeles with her husband. Her isolation is so intense that she is only able to open up to her husband when they are separated by a telephone, even if that means he has to stand just outside, on the other side of the wall. The film was presented by global contemporary art channel MOCAtv to celebrate the opening of the 2013 Urs Fischer exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. Watch below!
